Whiz Bang Project Manager
Description:
We're one of Boston's leading and established branding and design firms. We work with lots of blue chip, new chip, non-profit and educational/cultural clients and we need you to keep us on track.
You will need to navigate communications between the project team, the client team, and all outside partners, assure that deadlines and budgets are met, assist in client research and presentations, and gently crack the whip when needed. You must be comfortable with the speak of branding, identity, print and interactive communications and taking charge without a lot of direction. If you like to swim rather than sink, we'd like to hear from you. A minimum of 7 years relevant experience is preferred.
The Project Manager is the nucleus of a project and a critical member of the CMN project team. You are responsible for clear and prompt communication regarding project issues, deliverables, timing and budgets. You interface with all members of a team from the internal CMN team, to the client team and other vendors or outside contractors. The Project Manager works most closely with the Project Lead (Creative Director and/or Account Strategist). He or she demonstrates proactive involvement and open communication with colleagues and contributes to the overall esprit of the studio. The Project Manager reports to Chris Klaehn.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 3 - 5 years experience
- Highly organized and able to prioritize and work on several projects at the same time
- Experience in print production and/or Web development

Responsibilities
- Manage project deliverables within the scope of a creative services contract with defined budgets for time and expenses
- Work closely with Project Lead (usually a Partner) to assure a high level of client service
- Develop and monitor project schedules
- Negotiate budgets and deliverables with suppliers and partners
- Alert the project team to budget or scheduling issues before they become a crisis
- Manage project scope changes and budget adjustments throughout a project
- Recommend improvements to processes or procedures

Director of Web Development
Description:
The Director of Web Development position is an essential role at Corey McPherson Nash. The role is responsible for setting and maintaining the highest standards of client service and implementation quality. The position not only strives for excellence but maintains a professional demeanor with clients, vendors and colleagues; demonstrates proactive involvement and open communication in all aspects of job; and contributes to the overall espirit of the studio.
The Director of Web Development must demonstrate a solid track record of team leadership, language skills, problem solving, and a good aptitude for client relations. Senior Web Developers are leaders in all aspects of their job. The Director of Web Development may be asked to supervise one or more Web Developers, vendors or interns on a given project.
Requirements
- BA/BS in IT or Computer Science preferred
- 5 years experience building dynamic Web sites
- Deep knowledge of standards-based XHTML and CSS
- Understand capabilities and limitations of various browsers and operating systems as they apply to Web site development
