WATERTOWN, MA July 10, 2001- Corey McPherson Nash (CMN/ http://www.cmndesign.com), an integrated design firm providing branding, print and interactive communications, has been selected by Oxygen Media (New York, New York) to help the broadcast and internet channel refine and enhance its brand position. Oxygen Media, founded by former Nickelodeon TV president, Geraldine Laybourne, is an integrated media brand that superserves modern women by combining the best qualities of the Internet and cable television.
Founded in 1998 by Geraldine Laybourne and in partnership with Marcy Carsey, Tom Werner, Caryn Mandabach and Oprah Winfrey, Oxygen consists of a growing network of popular Web sites, and a 24-hour cable network. Oxygen also gave CMN the assignment to execute the new brand position into creative for on air and print communications.
"We are very excited to be working with Oxygen to help define their brand and their visual expression at this critical point in their history. It's especially meaningful to have the opportunity to build on the graphic identity that my late partner Tom Corey and his team at Hatmaker established for Oxygen before they launched. And having the opportunity to make the brand consistent across all media - broadcast, print, and interactive - is what we live for," says Michael McPherson, CMN Partner.
"I am delighted to have Corey McPherson Nash involved with us in helping us define our brand strategy and our creative identity. They bring everything we need to the task - great design, great thinking - and they are great listeners! A lot of firms talk about partnering with their clients, but these people really do it," says Debbie Beece, President, Programming at Oxygen.
