Corey McPherson Nash Wins National Design Awards

WATERTOWN, MA May 22, 2002- Corey McPherson Nash (CMN/ http://www.cmndesign.com), an integrated design firm providing branding, advertising, print and interactive communications, won prestigious design awards from HOW Magazine and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). CMN won a merit award from HOW Magazine for its design for the From The Top brochure and was awarded a CASE gold award for its case statement design for Swarthmore College.

Over 5000 entries were submitted to HOW's International Design competition, and CMN's brochure for From the Top was honored with a Merit Award. CMN created an exciting brochure for From the Top, the fastest growing program in the history of public radio. The program celebrates talented pre-college musicians across the country. The brochure, which resembles an album cover, appeals to both parents and children while its deep yellow and blue color palette add to the energetic flavor of the piece.

With 274 entries in the Individual Development Publications category, CMN's case statement for Swarthmore College was selected as one of five entries to take home the prized Circle of Excellence gold medal. CASE, based in Washington, DC, is composed of over 3,000 educational institutions, making it the largest international non-profit association in education. CASE recognizes those institutions that display excellence in alumni relations and communications. CMN has received previous CASE awards for its Buckingham, Browne, and Nichols and Bowdoin College publications design.

CMN's case statement was the kick-off for Swarthmore College's $230 million capital campaign. The brochure communicates more than just the campaign initiatives to alumnae, donors, faculty, and students. The introspective tone invoked by the tagline "The Meaning of Swarthmore" is carried throughout the brochure as thoughts and experiences of commentators are included in the margins of the main essay.
