COREY MCPHERSON NASH FEATURED IN GLOBAL CORPORATE IDENTITY BOOK

David E. Carter Book Highlights Best Global Corporate Identity Designs

WATERTOWN, Mass. November 10, 2003 -- Corey McPherson Nash (CMN/ http://www.cmndesign.com), an award-winning integrated design firm providing branding, advertising, print and interactive services, today announced two of its logo designs for Media 100 and Marketspace have been selected for inclusion in the Harper Design International book, Global Corporate Identity, edited by noted corporate identity authority, David E. Carter. This book, the first to feature corporate identity work from across the world, showcases outstanding logo designs from more than 40 countries, each uniquely suited to represent its corporate individuality.

For Marlborough, Mass.-based Media 100, a leading provider of advanced media systems, CMN developed a logo for the company's I suite of software. Since Media 100's software allows users to create and edit videos from various programs, CMN showcased the letter form "I" as the primary visual. CMN symbolized this by using a series of blocks of varying colors and opacity that merge together to form the "I."

For Marketspace, a Cambridge, Mass.-based consulting company and member of the Monitor Group, CMN designed a flexi-logo, comprised of three different but cohesive marks, to convey complex concepts with simplicity. The changing, overlapping planes provide a framework that visualizes Marketspace's out-of-the-box methodologies. The customized logotype anchors the mark and echoes its geometric motif.

"American Corporate Identity was one of the more prestigious books in our industry," said Andrea Naddaff, vice president of new business development for CMN. "With the unveiling of the Global Corporate Identity, it's thrilling to be recognized once again among some of the best corporate designers in the world. We're pleased two examples of our work have been selected to represent some of the finest and most creative corporate trademark and logo designs being done today."

Since the 1980s, David E. Carter had produced the best-selling American Corporate Identity annual, showing the best new work in corporate identity design from the United States. Now, Carter has edited an international counterpart: Global Corporate Identity. The book has all the elements that have made American Corporate Identity such a popular reference book, with seven categories of corporate design: trademarks/logos, letterheads, package design, complete identity programs, corporate identity manuals, signage&environmental graphics, and corporate brochures. Carter has edited more books on the topic of logos and corporate identity than anyone in the world. To date, he has written or edited nearly 90 books on the topic of corporate identity. Carter has also conducted seminars internationally on corporate identity.
