McPherson to Present on Branding Relational Programs&Events

WATERTOWN, MA January 26, 2004 -- Corey McPherson Nash (CMN/ http://www.cmndesign.com), an award-winning integrated design firm providing branding, advertising, print and interactive services, today announced Michael McPherson, partner and creative director, will participate in a panel presentation entitled, "What's in a Name? Branding Your Relational Programs and Events," at the 2004 Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District 1 Conference. The CASE conference is taking place January 24-27 at the Sheraton Boston hotel. The panel will be led by Charlie Cardillo, Director of University-wide Affairs, Harvard Alumni Association, Harvard University, and will also include Andy Tiedemann, Director of Communications for Harvard University Development and Alumni Affairs. The panel will take place on Monday, January 26, at 2:30 p.m. McPherson's panel will discuss how creating a coherent program or event brand requires knowing what makes a program distinct. He, Cardillo and Tiedemann will explore the value of creating a brand name and visual identity for educational programs. "The topic of branding for educational institutions is an area of expertise for Corey McPherson Nash," said McPherson. "We've seen increasing numbers of both K-12 and higher education institutions recognize the importance of branding in recent years as a way to enhance admissions and development. I'm looking forward to sharing my observations with the CASE audience."

McPherson's work has received numerous national and international awards. He is a frequent contributor to design and marketing publications, has served as a juror for several distinguished design competitions and has also spoken at the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), University and College Designers Association and the American Institute of Graphic Artists (AIGA). McPherson is on the Advisory Council of the DMI and the Advisory Board of the AIGA Boston and teaches part-time at the Rhode Island School of Design. He is the recipient of the 2001 Fellows Award from AIGA Boston.
