Fundraising Mailer Receives Positive Reviews
WATERTOWN, Mass. August 3, 2004 -- Corey McPherson Nash (CMN/ http://www.cmndesign.com), an award-winning integrated design firm providing branding, advertising, print and interactive services, today announced the completion of its fundraising mailer design for Simmons College. Based on the studio's rich history in delivering high-quality, branding services for the education market, CMN worked with Simmons to create a fundraising mailer that would attract first-time donors, from its pool of 35,000 alumni, as Simmons ended its $65 million campaign.
"Fundraising is the lifeline for colleges and universities, including Simmons College," said Andrea Naddaff, CMN partner and vice president of new business development. "Sense of community and community spirit is a key attribute for Simmons. It was important for their fundraising to end with this message - helping each individual realize her impact on the greater whole. We're happy with the work we've done and so far, response to the mailer has been encouraging."
To build awareness and increase alumnae participation, Simmons tapped CMN to help design its last effort solicitation piece. Using the theme "1 Good Reason," CMN created a mailer emphasizing Simmons' brand and sense of community. The firm played off the number one, turning it into a die cut that reveals a Simmons woman. When the card opens, she is shown to be part of a vibrant community, illustrating that each person makes a difference and is essential to making a community whole.
To date, the response on the mailer has been positive. The college feels that the piece accurately portrays its core values and unique community pride. "We were very happy with the creative work and the level of customer service that CMN provided throughout this project. The firm's prior knowledge of the educational market, paired with the efforts they made to fully understand the Simmons culture, enabled CMN to conceptualize and create a beautiful, and powerful fundraising mailer - our last call for support of the Campaign for Simmons," said Michaela Masi, Director of Annual Giving at Simmons College.
