COREY MCPHERSON NASH DESIGN AWARDED SECOND FUNDRASING PROJECT BY SIMMONS COLLEGE
WATERTOWN, Mass. - Dec. 14, 2004 -- Corey McPherson Nash (CMN/ http://www.cmndesign.com), an award-winning integrated design firm providing branding, advertising, print and interactive services, today announced that it has been awarded another fundraising mailer design project by Simmons College. Building upon the success of Simmons's Spring 2004 fundraising mailer, CMN was asked to design and produce a second direct mail solicitation for gifts to The Simmons Fund. The creative fundraising mailer was sent to more than 31,000 Simmons alumnae/i, parents, friends, faculty, and staff.
The Simmons Fund supports the operating budget of the College, financing everything from scholarships to faculty salaries to classroom resources. To help donors understand where their money is making a difference, CMN worked to create a visual design that attracted the audience's attention with fresh and unexpected copy/design, while simultaneously appealing to their hearts and minds in order to motivate giving. Using a combination of photos, graphics and personalization, CMN created a mailer that illustrated how each gift, regardless of the amount, makes a difference in the lives of current Simmons students and faculty members.
"This is the second fundraising mailer we have designed for Simmons College," said Andrea Naddaff, CMN partner and vice president of new business development. "For many colleges and universities, creating a sense of community and spirit is a critical element for successful fundraising. The personalization and real-life photography of the mailer hits home for the Simmons community."
The fundraising mailer was sent out in early November. The feedback has been positive and Simmons expects to receive a solid response to its request for financial support. "Highlighting the purchase of supplies for Anna's sculpture class and scholarship money for Maureen as outcomes of philanthropy, our mailer evokes a call to action for all recipients," said Michaela Masi, Director of The Simmons Fund at Simmons College.
